Date 20 - Man in Black III

  • The Scene: The front of an infamous brunch spot.

  • The Attire: Black tights, white off-the-shoulder crop top, black/red/white Jordans.

  • The Meeting: In the dining room, on a bench awaiting his arrival.

  • The Environment: Bustling, energetic, and engaging, topped with impeccable service.

He did call.

He did apologize.

He did ask for another chance.

Who am I to refuse?

Well, during the brunch date; I learned so many things … so many … oh, so many …

-Unresolved emotions from the past

- Former exotic dancer

-Children sans relationship

And several other insightful learnings which for me, was enough to throw up the proverbial red flag. This next statement may be TMI but it is an insight into my state of being. I could not grasp if I was simply uninterested, if my hormonal cramps were taken priority or if it was just simply the law of attraction. Whatever it was, I left feeling lackluster. No strong emotion one way or the other. Which for me, is not typical because I normally LOVE something or can’t stand it! I am not a lukewarm person. In that, I decided the best course of action was space.

  • Question: Why is it easier with some than with others?
