Date 24 - The Cyclist I
The Scene: The Home Depot Backyard.
The Attire: Black shorts, black sports bra, oversized black tank, and red Nike tennis shoes.
The Meeting: Bootcamp kicked my butt, and I stayed for the next class – Hip-Hop Yoga. Being on the front row (mistake), I was bothered, distracted, and detoured by the nets attacking my eyes. Note to self: don’t forget your sunglasses next time. After class, I headed to my bike and was putting on my helmet when a male voice asks, “Which way are you biking?”
The Environment: Active, sunny, and hella hot!
In response, I told him I was biking toward Castleberry Hill, and he said he was also heading that way. We talked and biked, as he insisted on biking me home. As we approached my place, we continued the light banter but, more importantly, the laughter.
After about 40 minutes, he asked, “What are you doing right now?”
I replied, “What did you have in mind?”
“We could bike to the west end of the beltline. I can show you where it is,” he said.
I agreed, and off we went on our lightweight date as he called it. I enjoyed how he cared for me as we zipped across one street and glided down another. We biked until it was dark, and he placed a light on my bike and took the lead as we headed back to my abode. Arriving at my building, we continued the conversation but finally bided one another goodnight after several hours. He asked for my phone number to share all the nuggets he had previously provided

He was like a guru of knowledge, and I absolutely love to learn.
Note to Self: Walk your path and trust in God.
Shout Out to Men: Don’t miss out and go for what you know you want!
Question: Why is trust so easy with some but not with others?
