Date 23 - Jack III

  • The Scene: The sidewalk of my downtown neighborhood with a beautiful Mexican inspired décor as the backdrop.   

  • The Attire: Black tights, black sports bra, oversized black shirt with my Nike running shoes + bike in tow.

  • The Meeting: Waiting on the sidewalk as I rode my feather-light bike to his car. 

  • The Environment: Casual walk through an artistic downtown neighborhood snapping photos along the way.

Trying to see one another before his flight and days apart (which honestly, I think we need). 

The stories we shared were cool, the compliments were flowing, his disposition was engaging, but I realized he was just over-the-top, a bit much.

Have you met people who are too intense for the amount of time you may have known them? Also listen to that inner voice because that is God’s nudging speaking directly to your heart.

  • Note to Self: Always listen to your inner voice.

  • Shout Out to Men: Live your truth unabashedly and don’t place unwilling participants in your unsorted arrangements.

  • Question: Why is living in one’s truth so difficult to bear?
